The Second Shepherd's Play

Telling a timeless tale of greed and  forgiveness, this play is about shepherds who find their routine shattered by Mak, the local thief, who steals one of their precious sheep.

Mak and his wife, Gill, attempt to deceive the shepherds into believing that their sheep is actually a newborn baby.

After his plan is exposed, the shepherds opt for mercy rather than revenge, and are rewarded by the appearance of an angel,

who instructs them to go to Bethlehem and witness the birth of the Christ child.
