Walks in my backyard

Walking with Corky, my neighbor's dog, is ALWAYS an adventure!

Corky gets into the brook only to get a drink, not to dunk. He is a border collie from County Cork.

This is where the brook meets the Hockanum River.

Another view of the same meeting, this time with cattails. American Indians used cattails to make flour.

A bumblebee on Golden Rod blossoms in September, at Laurel Marsh.

Here's Corky in the brook again.

These burrs are so beautiful. But prickly!

A dragonfly.

We all need to cross bridges in our lives.

Here's the Hockanum River at Laurel Marsh.

Weeds are wonderful.

  Lowland forest near the river.

A woogedy walkway over the swampy areas.
