HOW I USE PLASTIC TO MAKE PUPPETS

I buy special plastic from a commercial plastics place. It comes in sheets 8 feet long by 4 feet wide. I cut in into pieces that I need.

I then get my hot air gun and turn it on.

The hot air gun gets very hot, so I have to wear very thick leather gloves. It's a little like melting glass, only much slower.

By a process of pulling and twisting the plastic, I can create almost any shape I want to create. I can also melt it inside a hard plaster mold, or over a hard wood or steel or glass sculpture.

The pieces can be drilled or cut as needed, so I can attach them together to make all sorts of puppets.
